Aisha
Hi there! My name is Aisha. I am from Northern Nigeria, which has 18 states. Some great landmarks to visit in my region include Yankari Game Reserve in Bauchi State and the Ruwa Waterfall in Nasarawa State. A fun activity I like to attend with my friends annually is the Argungu Fishing Festival held in Kebbi State. It started in 1934, marking the end of hostility between the Sokoto Caliphate and the Kebbi Kingdom. Most importantly, it brings people together!
Fun Facts About Me:
I have four siblings, and Habiba, the engineer, is one of them! I speak Hausa and Fulani, but I am more fluent in Hausa. I sing beautiful songs in Hausa, and one day when I get over my stage fright, I would love to be a singer. I am wearing what is a typical Fulani cultural attire. My beautiful afro is adorned with beads, which is a signature accessory of Fulani people.
Some common phrases in Hausa language are:
Hello – Sannu
How are you? - Kina lahiya? (Feminine)
I am fine - Lafiya lau.
What is your name? - Menene sunanki? (Feminine)
My name is Aisha - Sunana Aisha ne.
Good morning - Ina Kwana.
Goodnight - Sai da safe.
Thank you - Na gode.
